PANAMPILLY NAGAR, KOCHI

You will know the price before we start

A family dental practice where treatment is explained, costed and agreed before anything is done — including the option of doing nothing yet.

What we do here

Four groups. Anything outside them we refer, and we will tell you who to.

A prepared instrument tray in the surgery

Check-ups and hygiene

A twenty-minute examination and a scale and polish, with anything found written down and costed rather than treated on the spot. Most visits here are this and nothing else.

Fillings and root canals

Composite fillings matched to the tooth and single-visit root canals where the tooth allows it. You will be told before we begin how many visits it should take and what happens if it needs more.

Straightening

Clear aligners and fixed braces for adults and teenagers, planned from a scan you can see. We will tell you honestly when the case is beyond what aligners do well.

Children’s dentistry

From about age two, in appointments built around a child who may not cooperate on the first visit — and who does not have to. The first appointment is often just sitting in the chair.

How we work

Nothing starts without a plan you have agreed

Most people who avoid a dentist are avoiding two things: not knowing what it will cost, and not being able to stop once it has begun. So nothing here starts without a written plan and a price, and every plan includes the option of monitoring rather than treating where that is genuinely reasonable — which it often is. If a tooth can be watched for a year we will say so, even though the filling would pay better.

D

I had not been to a dentist in nine years because of the cost. They wrote the whole plan down with prices, told me two of the five things could wait, and did the urgent one that week. Nobody made me feel stupid about the nine years.

Took my four-year-old for a first visit. She sat in the chair, played with the mirror and left. No treatment, no pressure, and she asked when we were going back.

A root canal I had been dreading, finished in one appointment and it genuinely did not hurt. They rang the next evening to check.

Excellent care and very straight about costs. Saturday slots go quickly, so book ahead — that is the only reason this is not five.

Questions we are asked at reception

If yours is not here, phone and ask — nobody will try to book you in for asking.

What does a check-up cost?

A standard examination with a scale and polish is ₹900, and that is the whole cost of the visit unless you agree to something further. If we find anything, you leave with it written down and priced, and you decide afterwards rather than in the chair.

I am genuinely frightened of dentists. Can you work with that?

Yes, and a good part of the practice is people who have not been in years. Say so when you book and the first appointment will be a conversation with nothing done — you can sit in the chair or not. Nothing is started on a visit where you did not agree to it in advance.

Do you take emergencies?

We hold slots each morning for pain and broken teeth. Phone before nine and you will usually be seen the same day; if we cannot fit you we will tell you immediately rather than leaving you waiting, and point you to someone who can.

From what age should a child come?

Around two, and the first visit is deliberately uneventful — sitting in the chair, counting teeth if they will let us. Starting before anything hurts is most of what decides whether a child is comfortable at a dentist later.

Can I pay in instalments?

For treatment plans over ₹20,000, yes, spread across the course of treatment with nothing added for it. It is agreed in writing at the start along with the plan itself.
